Ofil's products incoropoate proprietary technologies of:

SBUV: Solar Blind UV Technology

Ofil specializes in UV detection in the solar-blind UV band (240-280 nm), utilizing the physical fact that in this range all solar UV radiation is absorbed by the ozone layer so that UV radiation at that range originates only from emissions from various sources such as corona, missile plum etc. Imaging these emissions is possible provided Ofil's proprietary filters block all solar photons above 280 µm.  While the conventional available UV sensors and filters are blinded by normal daylight and cannot provide the required levels of sunlight blocking, Ofil's state of the art solar blind filters, based on the company's intellectual property (IP), enable absolute detection of weak UV signals in full daylight with high signal-to-background ratio and only negligible background noise.

Bi-spectral imaging technology

Ofil invented and developed an imaging technology - Solar Blind Visible Bispectral Viewing Methods and Apparatus for locating and visualizing UV events. This unique IP technology is incorporated in Ofil imaging systems, so that the UV source, as imaged through the SBUV filtering technology and the surrounding scene, as imaged in the visible spectral range are fused into a single video output. The output provides, thereby, instantaneously the exact position of the UV source with the entire surrounding scene. The imager is totally blocked to sun radiation.
